How does Pigment Removal treatment work?

Short bursts of laser light rapidly absorb into pigmented lesions as they have excessive amounts of melanin. This triggers an increase in energy which heats up the layers of skin and only affects those cells that are rich with melanin, while leaving the rest of it unharmed. The thermal activity produces new collagen and cells, ultimately resulting in a scab, which will eventually fall off over time.

How many treatments are necessary?
